SlideVibe - turn web content into activities with your students

SlideVibe is a cool website that allows you to create online learning activities easily. Instead of creating handouts or worksheets on paper, you can create interactive online activities.

The teacher captures web content, organizes the links and content, adds questions and work for the students to do, and then can capture the student's answers electronically.

Each activity the students will be doing are called a "vibe". Students register using the teacher's code so that they are linked to the class. The students follow through the assignment and then you can assess their work online, give them feedback, and grade them.

With SlideVibe, teachers can create web quests with student questions and activities built in.

Basic accounts are free and there are some great videos on the site that demonstrate how it works.

  1. Hi David: Drew Murphy here, making an announcement to ed tech specialists around the web. I'm the co-founder of SideVibe and…. SideVibe is now totally free for everyone.

Feel free to let your readers know at your convenience. I've posted more information below. Thanks for your past interest.

The response to our SideVibe teaching innovation has been outstanding. Teachers around the world keep telling us "This is such an incredibly useful teaching tool..." All this great feedback supports our belief that, in this time of tight budgets and limited resources, SideVibe should be allowed to flourish and help all teachers move forward with the web. So we decided to stand aside and let the vibes be free.

For ed tech specialists like yourself, you’ll find SideVibe offers much food for thought. In the ongoing endeavor of helping educators teach more effectively with web content, SideVibe stands as a legitimate innovation grounded in best practices and relevant classroom methods.

So please spread the word and let teachers know that adding the Web into their classroom flow is now completely free and is going to get even better.... with more innovations on the way.
