Google has added some more Street View images to Google Maps that can be used for virtual field trips. They already have some great imagery of the Amazon and Antarctic, and now they have it for Brazil and Mexico.
Brazil includes major cities and modern things like restaurants, hotels, and more, as does Mexico. But what is really great for education is the imagery of historic monuments, cities, and buildings. In Mexico, Google Maps now has Street View imagery of 30 Mesoamerican archaeological sites, including temples and pyramids.
Teachers can use this new imagery to take students on virtual field trips of these great locations.
