Science NetLinks - great science resource for teachers

Science NetLinks is a great resource for science teachers (and any other teacher looking for science information and resources). They have resources for grades K-12. Resources include lesson plans, online resources, lesson tools, and more. It is all free!

The resources are all standards based, internet activities. I have been using a few of them and they are very good.

The lesson plans section is set up by grade level. You can scan the list for the topic and standard benchmark. The tools are links to different web sites that you can use in your own lesson plans. The resources section has a list of resources, sorted by topic and grade level, such as NASAAmerican Museum of Natural History, and much, much more.

I found the site to be easy to navigate and the lessons and resources were all good quality.

Science Fair Project Guide

The Science Fair Project Guide, from Science Buddies, is a terrific, award winning resource for students and teachers. The site has science fair project ideas, science news, a student section, a teacher and parent section. There are also tips and resources on doing research, how-to's, links to other resources, an ask-an-expert section, and a science careers section.

The site is a great place for students to start when working on science fair projects or even doing other science research.

Learning Science - collection of resources

Learningscience.org is a great resource for science teachers. It is a free online collection of resources for teaching science, organized by subject area and standards.

The site has tools for science, such as graphing, timekeeping, and graph paper, links to other resources, ways to use Google apps in science.

When I looked under physical science, I found information and resources separated by standards for different grade levels. From there, I was brought to a list of online resources to use when teaching each standard. Some of them I already knew about, but many were new to me.

I recommend that all science teachers take a look at this site. It is well organized, easy to use, and has a lot of great resources for your lessons.

Science Bob

Science Bob is a great web site for science teachers. It is specifically targeted for the lower grades, but I have used some of the resources as grabbers or quick lessons with my high school classes. The site has videos of experiements, interactive experiments, instructions for doing your own experiments, and tips for science fair projects.

The site is easy to navigate and very well done.
