Have Chrome read any website to you (or your students)
Google Chrome is my browser of choice. It's fast, secure and has lots of great features, including some great extensions. An extension is an add-on app that runs in the browser.
There is a new extension that adds a very cool feature that can be great for a variety of students. It can read any website out loud to you. This is great for students with vision issues or who are learning to read or learning English.
Select and Speak is an extension that converts the text on the web page to speech.
Install the extension, select the voice you want, and then just click the extension icon to have a web site read to you.
